Understanding Different Types of Storage Units Available

At our convenient downtown Vancouver location, we have several different types of storage units available. In today’s blog article, we are going to describe briefly what the different types are.

Extra Small

Extra small units are 3’x5’ and 10 feet tall. These are floor level and good for a some boxes, bins, or possibly some sports or athletic equipment.

Mezzanine

Mezzanine units range from 7’x4’ to 13’x4’ and are four or five feet tall. These are accessed by mezzanine ladders. Because these units are at height, they are not designed for very heavy or awkward items, but rather for a few boxes or bins.

Small

Small units are ground level and are 5’x5’ and ten feet tall. These are suitable for many different types of items needing storage. Such as some boxes, bins, and small furniture.

Medium

Medium units are ground level and are 10’x5’ and 10 feet tall. Thse are larger units that accommodate quite a bit of boxes, furniture, files, and/or athletic equipment.

Large

Large units are 10’x7’ and ten feet tall. These are obviously larger than the medium and allow for even more storage, such as filing cabinets, furniture, wardrobes and boxes.

Extra Large

These units are 10’x10’ and larger. They are ten feet tall and can accommodate larger furniture and more boxes.

Commercial

Commercial units are the largest, starting at 10’x13’ and 10 feet tall. Businesses may have lots of files and furniture and equipment that need to go in storage.
